Some of our favorite things to show students:
Check the ACF website for shows that do not have live links: https://streaming.acf-film.com/audiocine
Movies with wonderful singing and music:
(you can go on-line and try to find the videos or you can go to our Resources and Links section and purchase the videos from one of the stores)
- Kids On Risers - This is a video by John Jacobson that has all kinds of ideas and suggestions to help add visual impact into performances. When you begin to work on a selection, watch the video with your students so as a group, you can discuss the ideas suggested and decide together what you want to include in your performance. My students have found it very inspirational for their flashmob and air band performances.
- Fantasia - make sure you preview all the scenes and skip any sections that you feel are too scary for your students
- Blue's Clues: Blue's Big Musical Movie - this is great for students Kindergarten through Grade 3. There are many musical concepts, including how to write a song.
